I'm doing a lot of things to the car right now un/fortunately, but I put on a MAF adapter for the K&N 1785 that I noticed a lot of folks are doing... Anyway, is the diffuser a good thing or not? Blowing on it with my hand behind it shows me that it does slow the air speed down versus no diffuser. So it mustn't be for that, is it to "direct" the air; with intent to smooth / direct / de-turbulate the flow (sure it's a word...)? I don't have it in right now because it needs a cleaning (black dust on the outside of the screen, yes MAF was suprisingly clean for 65K nad no cleanings...). So basically, to diffuse or not to diffuse. I did a search and people are looking for them, but not asking if they should be doing so.
Thanks folks,
Chris
