no do not buy that crap...those things are total crap...and they are not designed for our type of ignition systems...total snake oil...no way in hell plugs will give any car as much hp as they claim...get some motorcraft or autolite DOUBLE platinum plugs, and some 9mm fms wires(you can get the plugs and the wires for about the same as those rip off ricer plugs....

I'd say go for the autolites or motorcrafts as well, no one here has any problems with them as far as i know. that being said, i seem to remember a guy in hawaii i think it was who tried the denso's and claimed good power gains, no proven numbers just seat of the pants feel, but he said they also burned up pretty quick on him. he went through those pretty quick. as a side note, stay away from the bosch plus 4's too, they don't work to well in our engines. if you do a search on sparkplugs and set the time frame for a year back, you should find more than you want to read about this issue as it's been discussed heavily. hth and good luck.

And I take it you threw it on a dyno to find out. Cause I know someone on the audiworld forum who did and they worked. He races a honda civic, His daily is a 996.

Although I would not recommend them for the Duratec, the Denso Iridium plugs are hardly crap. They won't give you any measurable horspower, but they are a quality plug with material that lasts longer than platinum. But, it is a single-sided iridium which means it does'nt work with the Duratec's reverse spark DIS system.

no i didn't dyno them smart guy...but NO spark plug period will net the 10 to 20 horsepower that this moron on ebay claims...so you and your ricer friend can keep you little overpriced denso plugs to yourselves....
so stfu if you haven't dynoed them yourself either, smart guy....my friend did this and that ain't dyno proof either...i simply stated they were a waste of money (which they are)and the fact still remains that they are not designed for a contour style ignition system(and that's a simple fact)and will offer WORSE performance on a contour because they are not double platinum, and are not designed for OUR style ignition system period....which was what the guy asked in the first place...i don't think he cares to know if you think they work on your friends friggin' honda...he asked about a contour, which they will not work in...
also smart guy i didn't say i knew everything, but i do know the simple fact that these overpriced plugs are crap if put in a contour motor plain and simple!!!!!!!

Are you ignorant????
by the looks of your post you are...
first off just as you, and I, contour se driver is entitled to his opinion... he shouldnt be told to "stfu" because he disagrees with you.
yes for our cars the denso spark plugs are not the answer due to the ignition system, because of the way our cars ignition fires they would wear prematurly
however on cars with a more standardized ignition the denso's have proven to be very, very good plugs... they last longer then platinum and the seem to be more stable at higher combustions temps. so for the right car they do have an advantage. as for hp gains? because the can provide a more stable spark in certain motors they will show a large improvement over standard plugs
either way, state your opinion, and dont belittle others for theirs

whatever man...don't get your panties all in a wad over some friggin' spark plugs.....all i was trying to do is to inform the original poster of this thread that those plugs were not good for our engines and that they were a rip off...that is all...i was trying to steer someone in the right direction with facts not opinions...it is a fact that they are bad for our cars...and it is also a fact that they don't add the 10 to 20 horsepower that is claimed....then mr. smart a$$ has to go and ask if i dynoed them(i don't have to dyno them to know that they are bad for our engines period it is a well known fact)then he had to add some more smart a$$ comments at the end of his post that's why i told him to stfu....so don't stick your nose in someone else's business and don't call me "ignorant" because i was calling him on his smart a$$ comments,it really doesn't concern you now does it???????
i was trying to help someone avoid wasting their money on something that is no good for his car period...and as far as those plugs are concerned,i don't care what they are made of they will NOT add the horsepower that is claimed to any car period(10-20 horsepower from simply plugs is ridiculous to think is possible)i don't care what they are made of or how long they last, they are not worth $10+ dollars a plug imo....so don't believe everything that is claimed by manufacturers and sellrs...these little tuners er i mean ricers will believe everything they read about horsepower gains....

You ok man? Lay off the sugar. You won't be a virgin your whole life. I think it was about a 2hp gain in the civic. You made a general statement and so did I. To say they are "total" crap is straight wrong, for the Contour, ok then I can accept that. This is why I really hate people like you and this forum. Always have to be right even when you are wrong and it will go back and forth like stupid little kids.
I guess me having a contour and someone racing a civic, even though his daily is a 996, makes us ricers. This is a Contour forum right?
