i did the th fix today and drove afterwards but did not notice a difference. does it take a few days or drives for the computer to reset itself? did anyone notice a difference right away? it still hangs pretty good in the higher rpm range. i didn't hear any moosing but for me it isn't that frequent so im not sure about that part yet. i have a conical filter in so i tried both recommended size holes and didn't notice anything. any ideas??

thanks.

you did unhook the negative battery cable,or the #4 and #11 fuses after you did it right...also drive the car through a normal drive cycle after resetting the computer...

What size hole did you put in the plug?
There really is no one-size-fits-all hole size. Just good points to start with.

Are you sure the plug is seated flush?

Try smaller!

That's much larger than the recommended starting point IIRC.

Mine's under 1/4"

If you pull fuses 4 and 11, there's no point of disconecting the battery becuase those fuses shut the power off to the computer anyways. I pulled my fuses without pulling the battery cables and after that I put the drilled pipe cap in and then put the hose with the cap on and then I put the fuses back in, turn on your headlights and a/c and fire her up. That's my way of doing it so I won't have to reset my radio all over again.

I honestly am not trying to be an A$$, but if you look close at the first quote, it says

How dare your correct someone that was correcting someone that was correct in the first place.

Correct me if I'm not correct but it's not correct to correct other's corrections just for the correctness of the whole correction process.

Am I correct or what...

Now you've done it.. my brain officialy hurts..

Although I'm surprised at the correctness of your statements.

..on topic: careful with the hole size. I ran mine on the "too small" side of things, and my car would throw codes for the IAC valve, and actually destroy IAC valves every couple of months.
