My CSVT has 84K. When I drive it hard, sometimes the secondary intake doesnt open up and I dont get that extra pull. I have the turn the car off and then back on in order to get this pull.

Also, this has happend quite a few times, I am driving and my engine just dies. I loose power. I push the gas and the car just dies. I pull over. Turn the car off for a couple minutes then start it up again. It happens once or twice a week.

I have a chip, intake and exhaust. My check engine light is on. Ford says that is due to the MAF sensor and the IMRC Selonid inside the intake?

Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks

The IMRC solenoid operates your secondaries, so that might explain the secondaries not opening sometimes. The MAF fault may explain your other problem. Try cleaning the MAF sensor by removing the air filter and spraying electronic component cleaner down the sampling tube. The MAF is between the accordian tube and the air filter and has a 4 wire plug attached to the top of it. If this doesn't clear the MAF fault, it may be dead.
