Hello all! I've lurked here for several years and have always been able to take care of my problems by searching this great site. I, my wife that is, owns a 95 Mystique, 2.0, AT, 92k. The car develops a vibration while cruising. It is not there while accelerating\decelerating. It also (intermittently), vibrates when I come to a stop sign, at idle, so I donā??t think itā??s a CV prob. I donā??t notice the vibration unless Iā??m cruising at a set speed, 45, 50, 60, 65, etc..

Iā??ve changed plugs (autolite) and wires. Also cleaned IAC, twice. The wife says the first time I cleaned it (IAC), the car ran fine for about a month. Iā??ve replaced the PCV valve (what a joke), cleaned the MAF twice, checked EGR, good, had injectors serviced, TB cleaned. About three years ago, I changed the fuel pump and filter. I have also recently replaced the serpentine belt but the prob started several months after that. I think Iā??ve completed all of the fixes Iā??ve read about. I havenā??t touched the Oxygen sensor.

Is there anything Iā??ve overlooked? I donā??t have any codes or CEL, per the Ford Dealer.

Thanks for any advice you can offer. You folks have saved me big $$$ the past couple of years.

you didn't say that you replaced the spark plug wires. They wear out too. They are not like an electrical wire, an ignition wire is more like a capacitor in its design and over time the wire's ability to transfer energy, a well as its insulation that contains the energy begin to degrade.

The symptoms of degraded spark plug wires will be most noticable at start-up, idle and other light loads such as cruising.

Its simple and inexpensive. So even if it doesn't solve the problem, you won't be out alot of money and at 96k miles they're probably due for a change anyways.

Sorry I didn't mention the wires. I replaced them along with the plugs about two weeks ago. This is mindboggling!!

When have you serviced (changed) the ATF.

Severe duty (which I go by) dictates that it is about due for it's third changing.

See what condition the ATF is in.

It's also overdue for a timing belt.

Why is the PCV a joke ???
Did you check the hoses to it when you changed the valve?

Thanks for the advice. I had the ATF changed about 30k ago. I'll take a closer look at the mounts. I thought if they were bad I would have a continual problem, but will inspect tonight.

Haven't changed the timing belt, still the original.

The PCV a joke??

Had to remove the exhaust manifold to get to it. I tried by removing the thermostat housing(?) but the torx bolt stripped on me

Guys and Gals, I still have the same problem

I've since replaced the fuel filter, OS2, checked mounts(ok), no codes, cleaned batt terms...

Should I replace the IAC or the coil pack??

HELP
