I posted a message here in january about my fog lights not coming on when i pulled the light switch... and locating the "Interface Relay Module" where the fog light relay was. Someone responded refering to the "parking-light-fog" how to write up. It finally warmed up a bit so I went at the problem. This is what I did/found...

Found the relay behind the head light switch (HLS), checked (with a voltmeter/ohmmeter) the wires coming out if it against the list in the article.

Noticed that the black/red ground wasn't coming on when i pulled the foglight switch.

Ran a temporary ground from the red/black to the body, cycled the foglight switch and found that the relay worked and the fogs came on with the direct ground.

Traced the red/black from the relay to the (HLS) and found something really wierd. The red/black splices into a white (6 inches from the HLS) which goes into the back of the HLS. The wierd thing is that when I unplug the harness from the HLS, there is no spade connector (position 7) on the HLS to contact the white-red/black wire?!? It just sits there not touching anything. There *IS* a spade connector beside it in position 6 but no respective wire in the harness for it... ?!?!?!

I'm stumped now, do I go to the parts counter and ask for a new HLS and compare if there is a spade for it? Something just isn't kosher here and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts/experiences.

Thanks!
