Nuff said.
I guess in your "uniformed generalization", your concluding that, because I'm 16, I drink. Nice one.
Back to the subject line, my $.02 says the Duratec should have a fair advantage over the Cirrus 2.5L. Only a true test would tell though.

dam since we will fight over everything let me maybe put in a few words on behalf of most of us... HERE when somebody says atx we think automatic transmission, mtx manual transmission; since the begining of these boards this is how its been wheather a truck or a car fwd or rwd or awd it really doesnt matter now does it so why in the he(( do you have to pooint out that everybody has been wrong does it matter no it doesnt as long as we all know (excluding you) that when atx is written its an automatic and mtx is a manual, get over it and go about your pathetic life correcting others elsewhere where they might actually care. if i offended anyone in here, let me know and i will apologize for it, but i am sure that most in here will agree with me, and to the ones in here that answered the original question thanks

Actually, using proper termonology is part of my job as a buyer for a European parts wholseller. In the automotive world, if you don;t use proprer termonology you can purchase, or worse, install the wrong parts on your car.
I for one am greatful that people here (or the regulars i should say) use the proprer termonology. If you ever read a car mag. they use the same termanology that we do.
In some cases if they want to(the magazin articals that is!), they actaully use MTX and ATX insteand of saying "front whel drive automatic/manual" to refer to the transmission of a front wheel drive car. Here at work, with my vendors, when i look for a transmisson to purchase or parts of a drive train, they will ask me MT/AT for rear wheel drive cars and MTX and ATX form front wheel drive.
Look, no matter what, as long as your on this site you going to be corrected if you information is incorrect or incomplete. We here (or the majority) believe in using proper termonology, though some people can be too harsh about it, there intentions, i can assure you, are good and they are just trying to get the proper information across.
Give it some time and getting use too and read as much of the archives and forums as you can and you will come to understand the majority of people here and in the process lean A LOT about your car.
