Reviving an old thread here with a dumb question:
How do I tell if my motherboard will support an AGP video card? Is it simply a case of having slots for AGP or PCI, and, if so, what's the difference? Reason I ask is because I'm looking to upgrade my video card.
I'm currently running a GeForce2 32MB, looking to upgrade probably to a GeForce4 or something under $100. I don't need anything high-end, but my current card obviously lacks at this point. FWIW, the rest of the system is pretty current (512MB RAM) - I purposely skimped on the video card at the time of purchase because I wasn't really into gaming and I knew some new stuff was about to come out. Things have changed, though
