i hate dodge neons, they are a disgrace to the world of cars. they are one of the cheapest looking car i have ever seen and now they have a turbo, good for them srts can go faster than most SVTs but they will never look as good!

Well...the WRX isn't made for drag racing first of all. If you dump a grand into the car...300hp is not unheaard of...2 grand and you are approaching the 390ish at the wheels....the car comes to life with mods...little things make the car a beast....
People suck.
Rev it till it MELTS.....

YEP! You're right, that is why they are such great rally cars. Teams don't have to spend more then $1000 to get them setup to run. Man, if only I would have bought one I could have put 4-5K into it and been running 6's down the drag strip!

I never said to the ground, you took it upon yourself to assume that.
http://www.vishnutuning.com/stage.htm Stage 0 will get you 280-285 for $1,195
http://home.att.net/~teaguesauto/package.htm $999 = ~275
The Club Spec. package from Cobb Tuning cost roughly $1,200 or so and would get you about 290-300
I'm sure there's many many more.

Still not $1000...also if you notice even to make just 309 chp is $2100. Anyway, you've already proven you were wrong.

Originally posted by Ryan Lewis: I don't know about that. With a little more than $1,000 (doesn't say exactly) the WRX can put down (doesn't say to the ground anywhere) close to 300hp (doesn't say exactly). With 4K it would blow the SRT-4 away....assuming it was stock anyhow (this was the original statment i was disagreeing with. you can't tell me you believe it.)
