hey guys i have a 97 zetec and i plan on doing alot of mods to the motor i got a friend that is shaving the heads on it and changing out the pistons and rings what kind of system do you think i should go with what is best for my zetec nos,turbo,supercharger or a combo of nos and turbo or nos and supercharger. oh and its a atx if that will help with anything.

I am pretty sure that there is no direct application for a S/C for the Zetec (although i could be wrong). I would say that you should go for the Turbo Kit from DemonDynamics. I am not even sure that anyone has it on a 'tour on this side of the pond. I hear that the end numbers in HP can be comparable to the T/C'd and S/C'd Duratecs. Nitrous is really just for kicks on occasion. It gets really expensive at $50 a bottle. If you have the cash, do the Turbo. I have heard alot of talking about FI'ing Zetecs, but no one has shocked me yet.

If you plan on doing any Type of fourced induction, you don't want to shave the head. Shaving the head increases your compresison ratio and that's the exact opposite of what you want to do with a turbo or supercharger.

so how much is the turbo for the zetecs and what is the horsepower gain will it be to much to put both the t/c and nos on it and thanks for telling me about the shaved head i want get it done now i will just get a turbo

be careful with shaving your head, you now have a higher CR. And I hope you plan on ditching the stock pistons and rods. The stock ones will fail under pressure over 6-8psi easily. Get pistons from www.jepistons.com and get rods from either Eagle or from www.seanhylandfocus.com
Also, you dont wanna use T/C with NOS on a zetec engine.

shave the head (or get esslinger head package) if you're gonna use nitrous. lower the compression for turbo.

ditto.
Lower CR for T/C or any FI. However, like I said, the stock pistons are to prittle for most FI or NOS applications.
