This code means "Catalyst System Efficiency below Limit - Bank No 2". Would I be correct in assuming this means that my front bank precat is losing its effectiveness and will need a new one soon? The rear was replaced under the 80,000 mi emissions warranty at 79,000 mi. the car now has 88,000.

I will probably do the "mystery mod" and get O2 simulators (are these needed?) to save the money needed for a new cat and gain a few horses. Is this the way to go?

you can replace both rear o2 sensors with mil eliminators to keep the check engine light off, then you can do what you want with the convertors.
