Morality Question:
You are the President of the United States.
Scientists have discovered a meteor that is headed towards the earth. They have calculated that it will strike France in 2 days, at approximately 2:30 A.M. The meteor is large enough to completely wipe France from the face of the earth forever. France and the United Nations have requested that the United States send all available ships and aircraft to help evacuate the country. Among the ships and planes you could be sending are many that are being used to fight the war on terror overseas. As the President, you must decide:

2:30 am EST or is this 2:30 am in france ? because france is 6 hours ahead of us here on the east coast right now so 2:30 am in france would only be 8:30 pm here (just in time for the 9:00 news so in that case I think he would watch it) if it was 2:30 am EST I think that that he would have a small party in the white house for a few choosen people and he would be drinking and partying and watching the fireworks.

IIRC, a meteor the size of texas will destroy the earth (title waves, clouds that block out the sun, long winters). How big is france compaired the texas?

Actually, I was watching a show on the History Channel the other night and they started talking about France's Mag-Lev project. One thing they mentioned was that France was only about the size of Texas. So about the same, I guess
