Well driving down the road last night, I shifted into second and the car started grinding, then it died. I went got to the side of the road and tried to start it all I got was mad grinding and it sounded like it wanted to turn over but couldn't. We will hopefully know what is up with it later today as it was towed to the dealership that has ALWAYS worked on my car.
Now what options do I have for stock engines and what modifications would I have to do to get it into the car(i.e. Focus Zetec, 96 Contique Zetec,VCT, etc.)?
TIA

sorry to hear that...i havent had my tour in over 3 weeks. it is getting the head gasket fixed, only to find out the block is warped! so he is pulling the block, machining it, then reassembling it for free...but i still paid for the head machining, gasket set, etc (over $1100). ouch...
Just last long enough to get my MINI.

99,341(35,000 is of hard driving) to be exact. i found out it was the timing belt and tensioner pulley, but the tech said that he fears the worst right now and thinks the belt/tensioner did some other damage when it broke. Possibly pulled something up in the engine.
So I am hoping it is just the belt and pulley and nothing else.

Zetec are supposed to be "non interferance" engines, in that if timing belt breaks, no internal damage should occur.
