OP freezin my A-- off! CEG\'er F Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 90 Anchorage Alaska	manual transmission is popping out of gear quite frequently and when it does, i get a wonderful grinding noise. how do i fix it? 300 HP 1995 Contour GL...Gold Metallic paint in july 2001, i was driving my honda civic and was hit by a drunk. it totalled my honda and i sued for $250,000. i won. 50k for school, 50k for my 95GL 150k for new house.

Kevind54 Newbie K Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 4	I purchased a very nice SVT w/46,000 miles a few weeks ago however, it popped out of 3rd gear. The Ford dealer 1st thought it was the linkage and adjusted it but a few days later it still popped out of gear. Anyway, 3 weeks and a $2000 rebuild took care of the problem...thank God I had an extended warranty. Hope you don't have the same problem. Good Luck!
