on my 1995 Contour GL, everytime i take a corner, i hear a sqeak. sounds like suspension but i know its not, i had the shocks inspected. I was told it might be the motor mounts? I had a puddle of black liquid (not motor oil or tranny fluid) show up under my car a few months ago. just wondering it the motor mounts or bushings are filled with oil. if this is the problem, how do i go about replacing them?

The mounts on the 95's do not have oil in them.

Could be sway bar bushings. Lube with a silicone based grease.

i think it might be the sway bar bushings...i didnt even think to check that, that would explain why i hear it from the rear sometimes too.

thanks,
Josh

sorry to dig up this post, but yes the 95 transmission side mount is filled with black oil..... i just took an old one apart today and it squirted out all over the garage floor. don't know if it's better than the 97-2000 pure rubber ones though? any thoughts on rubber vs fluid filled mounts? i managed to fit a newer 97-2000 mount after switching the bottom transmission bracket from the old to the new.

95 SE MTX, every option except sunroof - SVT motor mounts - Taurus baffled oil pan - Energy insert and bushings - KKM - optimized TB - resonator removed - big plans
