...I didn't want to have to swap cables and all that so I lubed the mechanisms really well and then made some "booties" for them out of carefully trimmed freezer ziplocks and duct-tape. I kid you not. It's ghet-to but it works and importantly, isn't even visible with the wheels on the car but it works like a charm. We've had some wet, snowy, bone-ass-cold weather here and I have had not a single problem with the parking brakes freezing. Just thought I'd pass it along.
