OP JoeyJiggles New CEG\'er J Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 11 Wilmington, DE	My questions is about my exhaust for a 99 SVT Contour. I have an off-road y-pipe (no cats) and i have had my resonator taken out. I put on Borla mufflers and whenever i go past 3000 RPMs there is a loud import pinging sound. Does anyone else have this problem? and if so how did you fix it? or does anyone have any advice on how to get rid of it? 99 SVT Contour (Silver Frost) Off-Road Y-Pipe (No Cat) Resonator taken off Borla Exhaust K&N Filter 17" Sacchi S3s Eclipse Head Unit 2 12" W3s Kenwood Excelon Amp.

DemonSVT_dup1 Hard-core CEG'er D Joined: Sep 2000 Posts: 9,602 KC, MO	RASP! Put a resonator in your exhaust. It's there for a BIG reason!!! Make sure to use a straight through design without a louvered core. 2000 SVT #674 13.47 @ 102 - All Motor! It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.

ssmumich00_dup1 Hard-core CEG'er S Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 2,676 Hurricane Valley	yeah dude, I had the same type of RASP as well. . .it's embarassing, so RICEY. . . get a straight throguh dynomax resonator (22in is the best). . .no performance loss. . .PM Stazi, he sells them and can get one to you fast. . .shouldn't cost more than $20 to get it welded in at a local shop. There's a few brands of mufflers that people have used as a resonator to control rasp: Dynomax 4" round bullet race muffler Magnaflow 4" round muffler Eidlebrock RPM series muffler Vibrant's resonator I feel sorry for the people who don't drink.
