So much for going to the track today
there is a squealing sound coming from the front of my engine. The dampener at the crank shaft seems to be vibrating alot so I'm not sure if that's normal or a BIG problem. I also got a check engine light today and I have no clue as to where it's coming from. I'm doubting that this is just a result of a loose belt but I don't want to think about replacing a crank. Please let me know if you have any idea what this problem may be? Thanks

A high-pitched, loud squeeling noise is indicative of a bad serpentine belt, or bad tensioner.

Also suggest that you get the CEL code read. AutoZone usually will read CEL codes for free.
