My turn signals will intermittently stop working. They will be flashing and all of a sudden stop, then as soon as I touch the turn signal lever they start working. Is this my flasher or maybe some kind of short in the steering column? Help?

Since it seems to help by touching the lever, I'd be willing to bet that the switch is loose/bad. I had my wiper switch go almost a year ago now where certain positions just wouldn't work. I was naive and had the dealer fix it for over $100, but you could possibly do it yourself with the help of a Haynes manual. I'm not sure on the cost of the part, though.

The flashers on our cars hardly ever fail. The turn signal switches do fail, often with wierd symptoms.
