Well the F1 season got under way yesterday with the initial qualifying round for the Australian Grand Prix. My boy Jacques Villeneuve currently sits 3rd behind Rubens Barrichello and Kimi Raikkonen. It's been a lond time since Jacques has seen the front of the starting grid. Go Jacques go!

I just can't wait till I they start the new weight penalties. See how fast Michael Schumacher is with 50lbs for every win he gets. Maybe we can get someone else to win a race for a change.
Last year I only watched about 5 races cause I was tired of always seeing Ferrari win.

Yes things will be different with the new rules this year, it should be much more exciting. Maybe even a Minadri could win LOL  .

All qualifying and the race are on Speedvision. The race and Saturday qualifying will probabably be on TSN. Remember they are a half day ahead of us so Saturday there is Friday late night here. I think the race is a 12:00 midnight start for us on Saturday.

No, you are correct. The weight penalty did not become a rule, so Michael won't have to add weight for every win this year. I hope to see others do well this year, as I don't want a repeat of last year. Should be interesting to see how things pan out tomorrow with fuel strategies!

I'm not sure what happened to our boy Jacques, but there he was toodling along nicely in 4th place. I wasn't watching for maybe 1 minute, then I see him down in 10th or 11th place. Did he spin or something? I know BAR had a terrible pit stop where Jacques and Button both came in at the same time...Jacques getting serviced with Button waiting behind him. Nicely done.
