OK, so I sold the factory CD deck out of my 2000 SVT (Ford Premium CD) on Ebay. I got an email from the guy saying he put it into his 1996 Windstar, and he is having problems. According to him, the output is OK for a little bit, and then it cuts out. He also states that if you turn the unit off, and then power it up again, it will play again.

Any ideas on what may be happening? The deck was working perfectly when I put the new one in, and I double wrapped it in bubble wrap (the thick stuff) when I shipped it. Could it be a ground? Is that deck compatible with the 1996 Windstar system? Any and all suggestions are appreciated!!

Its only compatible if the windstar has the premium sound to my knowledge. Its weird thought that it plays but then stops.

Could have been damaged in shipping..
