do i need them for changing my springs (Eibach) only. I searched and really could not find what i was looking for.
I would like to do them myself if possible. Thanks

I'd say that would be a definite yes.
If you've got an AutoZone nearby, I think you can place a deposit down and rent a set out.
Be careful! That's a LOT of tension under load. Make sure the compressors are in good working order...

Yes youll need them , go buy them at Advanced auto for 30.00 , or another auto store

You only need them to remove the stock springs. The lowering springs will go in without needing compression.

Listen to them! I agree, I have heard stories of people being killed by not using compressors. Beacause when that top nut comes of (under load) it is like a bullet, would not want that to happen

at you my ass who was the one in the line of fire damn compressors. 
I bought the compressors at Advance for $30, pep boys and advance do not rent them out, but the guy at advance said when your done just return them if I wanted.
