Why not?? We supercharge the cougar all the time, and it's more like the non svt.

yah, but what about pre 98's. doen't it have somthing to do with a returnless fuel system , or sothing like that.
I just thought that on spmotorsports it says that it works only on svt's.
If this is really the case, then i don't think i'm going to spend the extra on an svt engine.
even though i still really want one.

Mid 99's and newer have the returnless system, and there is no specific Vortech kit for them, but it still can be done.

Pre-98's have return type... no reason you couldn't put it on a 96-97. 1995 might be a different issue since it is OBD-I.
