Ive looked through the posts and couldnt find anything with my problem. I just removed the door ding guard off my driver door. It came off easily but now there is a green ring around where the double sided tape was. It looks fine where the tape was but around where it was is green. Ive tried waxing the door but that didnt help. Any suggestions on what I should do would be great.

What color is your car? and do you know if the door was ever replaced? Sounds like it could have been repainted without taking the dings off.

i have the same problem...kinda like a ring outlining the shape of wear they used to be?
yeah well hate to tell you but as far as I know you're gonna need a repaint to cover that back up...I'm thinkin of puttin mine back on
im guessing its unfaded paint or something...mine looks like dirt rings that wont rub off

thanx, more reasons why to not take those off. lol. i have to worst luck w/ things like this.

same here, i've been thinking about doing it too...but judging from the nicks on them my ding strips have saved my doors a few times

Do you guys have T Cut?? It's a sort of polish that REMOVES a fine layer of paint-that may sort your problem.....

I removed mine and had that same ring, get down on the ground and start scraping it off with your nails, it comes off slowly, i mean very slowly, took me 2 hours to do half of my front door, by them my figures were numb, and i stopped and ever so often when it isn't freezing a work on it some more.
