Im about to start some heavy mods on my Stique just havent figured out all im going to do like im going to start small like removing the door dings as earlier posted and im going to give that custom grill a shot even though I still am a little skeptical becasue i Have no real automotive skills in the mod department. But im just interested in what you all have in mind that would look good with my mystique its all factory as is right now except for the jvc indash i just installed. The image is the basic look and color of my car without the spoiler. [image]http://www.tirerack.com/images/wheelrack/car_images/Mercury/Mystique_GS_97/0Mystique_GS_97.14[/image]

Painting the dash isnt hard. Sidemarkers are cheap and easy too.

How do you go about painting the dash and do you have a pic of what it would look like and what is a sidemarker?

Sidemarkers are located on the fender behind the front wheels and blink with the turn signals. There are many different brands. Click on my sig, I have the painted dash and sidemarkers.
You can also do a search on either and you should come up with a lot of different threads.

You can see the sidemarkers in this thread

The side markers are the lights on the fender.

I think I read that the side-marker mod is much easier on 98+ cars than on the pre-98's.... I read that the pre-98s require some drilling while the 98+ models have a hole ready to put the side markers in where the 24v badge was...not sure though...
What you can do without much automotive mod experience is to paint the exterior chrome trim (mine is black now instead of chrome)... another which is easy to do is to replace the stock air filter box with an open-air style air filter... see www.ctamotorsports.com for the Duratec intake kit (did all LS's come with v-6 Duratec?). Oh yeah... in the mods section from the main menu, look up the fog-light rewire mod... this is easy on the 95 LS because the drivers side glovebox can be opened all the way to get to the wiring without having to remove the whole panel left of the steering wheel.
Check my profile for pics of my LS... or go to the registry section and look up 95 LS in California and check there for mine.
Good luck and have fun!

Oh yeah.... read up on the Throttle-Hang mod (TH mod)... this one is extremely easy and very cheap and you will appreciate it from right after installation... just a few cents for the copper pipe cap and simply drill a hole in the center of it, then stick it where it goes according to the TH mod instructions..... check with others in your region as for what size hole is best to drill... for example, I live in northern coastal California and use 1/4" hole in the copper cap, others have luck with a different size hole. I have not heard the sound known as "moosing" in about a year now.... remember to follow the procedure to reset the cars computer after doing this mod and also after doing the air filter replacement.

I know some of the Mercs had a little lower front and rear lower facia. That should be a cheap and easy mod. Its also great for the Tours.
