Those looked like boot prints to me.
Can't the police get prints(saw finger marks)??
I know it wouldn't do much good, but
it might. Or wait and find them yourself

One more question, is your gas cap locked from the inside? I ask this to see if it was possible that they put something in your gas tank, like sugar!  Stephen

That really blows man. The thing that really pisses me off is. The people whom do this encourage higher insurance rates for all of us including themselves. This individual is surely depriving some village of its idiot.

I agree with all sentiments here!! The boot prints on the hood look like the may be to big for a woman's, maybe your car was mistaken for someone who messed with someone else(male) and their girlfriend?? I think the trunk lid was not a high heel, those things just aren't that well made to almost go through metal without braking off!! Might be more along the lines of a tool of somekind!! I alos agree to watch your back when it is fixed, I would say alarm all the way, too bad they don't make alarms that shot first and ask questions later!!  Good luck, and I hope you get ahold of the wusses that did this!!
