ehy guys here is the problem a month ago or so CEL come on with that code CAM SHAFT POSITION SENSOR FAULT my mecanic tells me that i have to change it so i did. This monday i finally got the coil that i ordered a month so i changed that and last night on my way to work got a CEL agian go see my guy and it's P0340 again how come i just changed it.
AT least when i got the coil pak cahnged the car stopped stuttering, any help would be appreciated

Just a stab in the dark here, but did you remember to reset the PCM after changing the sensor (and probably again after changing the coil pack)?

Just a guess.

If you have a late 98 with VCT, it could well be the fault of the VCT solenoid and not the camshaft sensor. The VCT uses oil pressure to change cam timing.

The VCT solenoid might be open (infinite resistance) or the port on it can get blocked by varnish/sludge. Unplug the connector and check the solenoid with a meter. Good clean 5W-30 is a must. If the oil has not been changed on time, there could be gunk buildup in the crankcase/oil system keeping it from moving.

Yes i did both times and it just keep reapearing
