My headlight lens have started to get a hazy look to them. Does anyone know a way to make them clear again w/o replacing them?

Try cleaning the lenses with Mcguires paint and body scrub. Finish off with a silverware polish or car wax.

You might try the same material used to remove the haze from plastic windows on convertibles & Jeep tops. I'm not sure of the name, but your autoparts store will know what to give you.

Toothpaste sounds like a good idea but I went into a body shop and the guy buffed out the haze in a matter of minutes and charged very little.

Meguiar's Mirror Glaze Clear Plastic Cleaner (and Polish, sold separately) should help immensely, as long as there hasn't been extreme chemical attack.

Pilots trust this stuff to restore the optical clarity of polycarbonate windshields, and I've enjoyed the results on my 'Tour's headlight and taillight lenses.

we have a 96 contour and the headlight lenes were pretty yellow/hazy looking.. i sent to auto parts store tryng to find smething to clean it up with.. they told me they never had anything for that.. i then got a can of turtle wax
polishing compound.... the kind with a grit in it... went home and took an old face cloth and wet it and went to work on the plastic lenses.. i also have a high power magnifer, the kind you attach to your head with a band around your head... you could see the spots of plastic with the trash/dirt on it... after about 5 minutes of polishing one of the lenses for about three times it looked like a new lens.. i then got the electric drill out with the buffer cloth on the end and gave it a good going over... looked pretty good to me.. i now notice alot of fords, mercury's, and dodge neons with the same problem... Oh, i left the hood open so i could get to the top part of the lense so i did not hit the painted surfaces of the hood and used some duct tape to tape off the bottom and sides of the lenses for the same reason... used wd-40 to remove the sticky stuff after taking the tape off... worked great..........
cost of the Turtle Wax Polishing compound was $1.79 and the can will last for about 10 yrs or so....
