on my way to work this morning i noticed that if i try to shift fast into third gear or when i downshift from 4th into 3rd it likes to grind. i was thinking syncro but im also having what seems to be clutch slippage. what a PIA. i dont have the time to put in a new tranny or the cash to have it done. anyone ever have this happen?
(by the way its a mtx)

Definitely synchro.

This is exactly how my 3rd gear synchro failure initially manifested itself. Within 3 months, I couldn't get it into gear at all without grinding unless double clutching.

Was this before after the change to the "cocktail" ? I seem to remember you saying something about it a while ago indicating it *may* cause issues (that was my interpretation of what you said).
