What items constitute a complete engine tuneup procedure for the 4 cylinder engine driving an automatic tranny?

distributer cap and rotor ,ignition wires plugs and (coil) if your really thorough,check the timing replace the belt and check 4 ne problems.

Mr. Mystique: my Mercury Mystique 1995 does not have a distributor and timing is under computer control; anything else? Mileage is 60k.

Yes. mr.mistake is about 100% incorrect there eh...

Item ~/~ Interval
Oil change (3-5k)
Fuel filter (1yr/15k)
Air filter (1yr/15k)
Cabin Air filter (1yr/15k)
Trans fluid flush (30k)
Serp belt (3yrs/40k)
Radiator hoses (3yrs/40k)
Plugs (30-60k depending on type & driving habits)
Wires (depending on condition/testing but normally by 60k)
PCV Valve (???, but I would change it)
Wash & Wax (religiously wink )

I'm sure I have forgotten a few things...
