I had both fronts replaced last summer. Another sign is that the humming should be louder turning one way than the other.

This is something where it doesn't pay to procrastinate.

Hey..you guys were right. Left front wheel bearing was toast. It came out in several pieces.
Got it repaired and replaced at Speedy Muffler for $134.

i know b4 i bought my contour, some bearings were changed on my car...i'm not sure if front or rear. But everytime i'm in a sharp turn...well, most of the times on the ramps...i hear some noise...like squeeling noise...and i can feel it in the steering wheel.
sometimes, when it rains i dont hear it. any ideas? i think, and i HOPE, it's not bearing. I was thinking just a sway bar?
help appriciated!
