Really? Can you give me some more details? As in what engine and what yr it came from etc? Is it easier to do than the "conversion"? I ask because my car is a daily driver and I need a little down time as possible...so if I can source an engine and drop it in with minimal down time...I would like to do that...

Thanks for the help!

It's not simple plug and play. There is some amount of fabbing required (IIRC motor mounts for one). I only know of one person offering to do the conversion, and he is tight-lipped with the details (because he charges for the expertise). You'd also have to leave your car in Grand Rapids, MI for an indeterminant amount of time.

It's definitely easier to go with the Taurus Duratec, so I'd say the Lincoln LS doesn't fit your needs.

PM Buckshot he could ship you an entire 3L engine ready to drop in by any ford mechanic or any good mechanic for that matter. The nice things about a well built 3L is it looks identical on the outside and every connection is the same or similiar so the ford CD walks anyone through the install, not a lot of custom work to worry about unlike something like mine

I offer PnP Heads for all durtec's details at PnPheads.com or jesse@pnpheads.com for details.

is the LS engine a 3L? it's a V8 right, that would be the advantage.
