Our W/P has a metal impellar, if not ours would be going out at 60k and I would be in big trouble. BTW, I thought that 94 octane was good to 13:1. OP kustom kontour CEG\'er K Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 140 niagara falls canada	you can get a hole lot of power just from compresion ratio....just look at the 60's cars high comp ratios and not all that much other stuff for example 289 cobra not much done there and by todays standards look at the ..i hait to say this .....acura type R ...it has a 10:1 ratio and puts out all kinds of HP... Engine Horsepower (peak) is 130 Old Compression Ratio is 9.6 New Compression Ratio is 13.0 Computation Results: Computed New Engine HP is 140, a 8 percent change Only 10 horse. I'm not impressed. I ran across this intersting site. 700HP out of a 2L engine with 30psi of boost. Yikes!
