And...

I noticed lately that the engine is running a bit hotter than usual. Not much, but the temperature gauge is slightly high and it heats up during idle.
I drive it 35 miles to and from work and it stays well within the "normal" zone on the gauge.

In an emergency I did have to put in "regular" green antifreeze when I replaced my hose a month ago. Should it have been the Ford antifreeze? I know that my '97 GMC pickup has a specific, red antifreeze.

Also, as you might recall from my previuos posts... the engine still has the original timing belt with 166K miles on it (I know! I know!) Could it be loose (obviously it has stretched a bit) and not turning the water pump correctly? It is pretty noisy when the engine warms up.
