I recieved a friendly cel today and the code is p0352 (ignition coil "b" primary/secondary circuit.) Have any of you ever had this code or this error? I've changed the coil, the plugs are fine, and the plug wires look good.
The only two things I know to check are the pcm and the harness that connects to the coil, but i don't know how to check either of these. The car starts like normal, but is real slugish like the timing is backed way down. I attempted to drive the car to the end of the street, but it died. After I cleared the codes it started and I made it home but with the same symptoms. Someone please help i'm getting desperate.

my car did that but I have no idea about throwing a code cause I have a little CEL fix going on.. but when mine did it it was because my MAF was FOCKED... make sure all your connections are good and everything...

Have you checked the MAF?? i had a similar problem and used a product called "electronics parts cleaner" it's also called contact cleaner. Autozone sells a can for 2.99$; spray it liberally on your MAF harness where it connects to the MAF and try to LIGHTLY spray some onto the wire on the MAF and start up your car. You might have to "re-set" your computer afterwards (pull negative battery cable for 15 minutes and then start up your car and let it idle for at least five minutes). The car might have a rich/lean condition; try these two simple tricks (try re-setting the computer first) and see what happens. Good luck!!

Bad coil pack being caused by bad PCM.When I retrieved the code from my scanner I was pretty sure it was a bad coil
pack, but after I replaced it I was getting the same code on my scan tool. So I worked for a few more hours making sure I did everything correctly and I finally gave up. Ford has the car now and has replaced the coil pack, but they're trying to locate a PCM (good luck ford). I have feeling they will have to get a 2000 model year PCM and reflash it(i could be wrong).Thx to the two guys that posted I appreciate it. Hope this helps one of you SC guys in the future, because I was pretty upset. Later and thx
P.S. I have a scan tool now if anyone want's some help with a problem I would be happy to help.
