That's the pitts! I've never heard of that problem. I didn't know there was a fit difference between the Coutour and the Cougar. The MSDS y pipe is nowhere near my drain bolt. The only problem is the oil running all over the front of the pipe when the filter is removed, but that is a problem with the factory pipe also.

I'm by no means mechanically inclined, but is it possible its an issue with the oil pan? I can just see it being more likely that Ford messed up with a bad/wrong part than MSDS with the Y. Maybe someone in your area would know by looking.
