i have nitrous on my 98 gl 2.0, i've read that they recommend a minimum of 92 octan gas, but my 2.0's manual says 87, is it safe to put 93 in or will it carbonate the engine. does anyone else that has a 2.0 use 93 octan.

a higher octane will not hurt your engine in any way. IF you are going to be using your nitrous use the highest octane you can find.,

i use 93 octane, but i have a chip. i tried each octane w/o chip and 87 worked best. here's how it is: use what you need. stock use 87, chip use 91+, nitrous use high as you can get, higher compression, advanced timing, etc. always require higher octane. if u ping, start using higher octane.
