Went to KRAGEN today and was browsing through the headlamp bulbs and saw Sylvannia "COOL BLUE" bulbs for my SVT. I had just replaced the cheesy stock bulbs with some cheap $9.96 GE "Brilliant White" bulbs from WAL-MART. Suprisingly, it made a huge difference... damn ford must have put 2.00 bulbs in there! I also was considering SILVERSTARS... but my question was, has anyone tried the COOL BLUES? and if so, are they really blue?? I sorta like the hyper white with a slight hint of blue look... not the ricer boy kind (shouldn't clown cuz i'm filipino myself!- no excuses though, hate ricers!), just the conservative bluish hue feel. Your input is always appreciated... thanks guys.

For just a slight bluish tint and the best light output, I woild suggest 9005's either Hyper or Eurolites. I really liked the 9006 Eurolites I had. I used 9..6 Hypers for awhile but were more white sometimes, did the high to low beam mod with the Hyper 9005's and light output was very good for a blue bulb and a nice color blue.
Right now I'm running 9006 Cuzos and I really love the look, but might be a little too blue for you.

Hey thanks for the reply... Where did you buy your "Hypers" and/or "Eurolites?" are those the actual brand names?

I have these Sylvania bulbs, and I bought them at Pep Boys. For less than $30 for two, I thought they were a decent deal. They do project a whiter light than the original bulbs, and I think that they are a little noticable to other motorists, especially when on with the stock fogs. They're not as prominant as the Xenons on a Bimer or anything, but I'm happy with them. They may have imporoved the Contour's poor headlight performance marginally, but nothing ground breaking. They are not very "blue", though, I'd say more white. Definitely nothing obnoxious like the dark blue lighting or anything you see these days with crazy body kits and stuff. I don't really do any major mods, but I like changing it up with this type of equipment. For $30, I'd give them a shot.
