What are the top speeds reached in SVT tours, and is there a speed limiter on the CSVT?

Top speed is 143mph per ford Some guys have gone faster given a good amount of room and the right drag. There is room to go faster  But thats street racing which isn't tolerated on CEG.

 there are things called tracks, where high speeds can be reached legally.

I went to an airstrip in southern arizona to test my top speed. The manager was a friend of mine and he let me run the taxiway. I had about 10K miles on the car at the time and it was bone stock. I took it to right below the 145 mark on the speedo, 144 or so. I don't know what the speedo error is/was, but it should have at least been a good 140+mph run.
BTW before people start to talk, it was a 7200 ft runway with a matching taxiway with a slight downhill section at the start and then gradually turned to level. I hit 130mph by the time I reached the tower at roughly half way. I had to have room to stop but I probably could have gotten a little more out of it.
At present day? The car could have hit the 150's. With the turbo done I should be able to tach it out in 5th gear.

Of course this is under boost, but I burried the speedo. Shift light came on in fifth gear and when I glanced down the speedo was tached out. What a rush. Not something I would do again on the streets.

Burried as in 160mph? DAMN!!!
Btw, I think Buckshot estimates something like 180mph!!!

I hit 131 or so at redline in 4th gear in my GS-R. I've seen pictures of stock Type Rs going over 165. I could probably do a buck-fifty. I'll be sure not to pull any u-turns though.
