I'm one phone call away from ordering the BAT suspension kit with Koni struts for my SVT. Anybody have prior experience with this gear, or strong opinions?
My intent is to make the SVT into a hardcore autocross machine... any suggestions?

get coilovers and konis
the bat springs arent anything special iirc... the spring rate on H&R's and Eibach's is great but could be a lot better, coil overs and konis set to stiff will leave ya pickin up tires around corners :P

Get the coil overs if you want hard core, but they are a bit to bouncy for everyday (for me anyway). If you do go coil over, get a four point harness... you could lose a check off your bum otherwise trying to hold yourself in place around a tight corner! They are that good.

I have an SE with Roush springs and I think it is a good combo with the ST200 struts. Rusty(RT and his SE) has the BAT combo and loves it. All in what you are lookin for. and what compromises you are willing to make.

Well, I already have the racing harness, so buttslide isn't an issue. I want to be able to drive the car on road trips, so I don't want such a stiff ride that fillings get jarred loose...
I'm planning on getting the Falken Azenis for ultimate traction...
I'll look into the coilovers - where should I start looking?

ground control for coilovers if you get adjustable gas struts and you decide to drive 2,000 miles... to say come to spring zing :P you can soften em up and save your kidneys and bladder

DO NOT get the ground control kit. For one I wasn't impressed with the build quality on them as far as I had to hone out two of the sleeves to fit my struts. Also, the front spring bearings have been known to disintegrate very quickly. Lastly even with my koni's set to full soft the ride quality was retty nasty running about a 2" drop. Terry Haines is coming out with a set of fully adjustable coilovers spring/strut combo that should be comptetitive in price with the koni/eibach combo. Try giving him a ring- secondline@ameritech.net Other than that, you can go with the Leda's for about $2500 or so or just go the standard koni/eibach setup which is what I've been running and very happing with thus far. Also, one other thing to consider is picking out exactly which class you want to dominate and make sure your modifications allow you to run that class. Rick

I'm looking at Street Tire Stock (STS) - all the work I'm planning is OK for that class.
The input I'm getting here seems to validate my feelings toward the BAT kit with the adjustable Konis... I will get the bigger sway bar and the caster/camber adjusters, too...

do u by chance just happen to have any idea of when terry is expecting to release his coilovers. i just ordered the gc's from nopi.com and the mcmaster bearings. the konis will be coming. i ordered new wheels/tires 17x7 40offset 215/45/17. i dont want rubbing and dont know how long i can leave the suspension stock. i tend to be the driver among my friends so the back does have people semiregularly. now i'm not sure i can cancel the gc's. they haven't been shipped but nopi was out of stock and getting vendor to send them to me.
