Anyone know where I get get just the TB gasket? Autozone can get the intake manifold gasket set, but it doesn't mention the TB gasket. Anyone know if the gasket set includes the TB gasket?
Any help is appreciated.

Dealer.

Get one for a 3L Duratec Taurus. Costs under $3.
I remember the SVT one carried a different part number and cost 3 times as much. (though who knows if the parts guy had a clue?)

Autozone should be able to get the Fel-Pro gasket. I do not have the part number handy. (on other computer) Somebody probably will though.

A few local Autozones did not carry the gasket....

I ordered mine through Bill Jenkins.

Like Demon said - go after the 3L Duratec TB Gasket from a dealer.

There's no dealer here in town, so it could be a hassle to pick up.
fordpartsonline is a maze, too. Demon, if you could post or pm a part number, that'd help out. I'll try searching fordparts for the Taurus tb gasket, too. That may help.
Thanks!

Are you sure you need a new gasket? I've used mine over twice now. It is pretty sturdy so just removing the throttle body does not usually destroy it.

its always a good idea to replace the tb gasket. especially for only $3...it ensures you don't get any kind of vaccuum leaks at the throttle body.

cheap insurance.

Not to be difficult or anything but it takes 5 minutes at most to pull the throttle body. Cheap insurance is replacing a crankshaft seal on a pretty new shortblock, or changing the oil frequently. Something where you can hear the noise of air whistling if it doesn't seal and takes only 5 minutest to pull off??
You can save the $3 and the drive to the store unless it leaks, if it does you are only out $3 and 30 extra minutes.

You are definitely correct from one perspective, but from mine I have to ask is it necessary.
I am still using the stock TB gasket and I have pulled it on and off no less than 5 times. I am still using the same upper intake manifold gaskets and I pulled the upper IM off no less than 15 times for periodic cleanings, testing different fuel pressure regulator mods, changing injectors (3x just for that) and a few other little things.

warmonger

I work at an Autozone (after school job during college) and the intake set is either the upper by itself, or the lower and upper together. There is no Autozone listing on the TB gasket. I went to FelPro's website and they don't list one(but websites don't always have it all) I am going ot personally email fordpartsonline for its P/N. Just my opinion though.

Thanks for the FelPro P/N, I will check it out next time I am stuck at work. Unfortunately (as you all may know) Autozone can't always get every part number, but sometimes its surprising. Thanks again, Jason
