I drove from western Massachusetts down to southern Connecticut last night, and everything was fine. This morning when I turned the car on, the CEL came on and started blinking. I turned the car off, and turned it on again, and this time the light was solid and stayed on for the rest of the trip. When I'm at highway speed (over 65) and floor it in 5th gear, I get a very strange sound and vibration, almost like going over very small rumble strips. Any idea what this could be? It almost sounds like a loose belt, but I'm not sure.

Is it only in 5th or do you get it in every gear and any speed?

It's in any gear, and it start becoming very prominent at about 80, though I've been able to get it around 75 or so. It only comes when I reach those speeds with the pedal to the floor, if I'm just cruising and slowly gaining speed then there's no problem.

Oh just wondering, may want to take it in if it's under warranty. Mine would make a sound at any speed when I floored it... ended up to be broken tranny mounts. (mental note - don't go back to Michigan for holidays, drivers from MI are idiots, except me, and there's not point trying to race them )
