Hi,topic as subject line.
Can't get to unjam it,as the mechanism
is inside the seat back.
All I can think of is to cut a hole in
the seatback to access it.
Might make a bit of a mess though.
Anyone got a better idea?

if the center seat belt is like the SVT, then even without folding seats, you COULD reach it from within the trunk, if you layed down and looked at the trunk lid, where it meets the seat... If it is indeed INSIDE The seat, there has to be a way to get to it... otherwise, how would you replace the belt/install the belt in the first place?

It is definately inside the seat back.
The hole in the top is only as wide as
the seat belt webbing.
There is no way anyone could get their
hand in there.
I have looked at the bottom of the seat
back,there is no access.
If I pull the seat belt with my ear to
the seat back I can hear the mechanism
clicking, the sound is about half way down.
Thanks anyway,I'II wait and see if I get
any more replies then its hole cutting time!

If yours is a hatchback (ie not saloon) the seat back has to be securely in position for the centre belt to operate. There is a mechanism which prevents the belt from releasing if the seat back is not locked upright. Try releasing the seat and then slamming it back to the upright position firmly. I have had the same problem and nearly got to removing the seat material/padding to access the belt!!

Thanks for the tip, slammed the seatback
and the seatbelt works ok.
Had the car to my dealer and they are going
to fit a plastic stopper to the belt webbing
to stop the belt from retracting to far into
the seatback.
Its one of those stoppers that keeps the latches
within easy reach.

Thanks again.
