Has anyone ever done or hear of a 98 SVT engine going into a 95 Se? 6 cyl? If so does it plug right up? do I use my SVT ecu? Any help would be really appreciated!! Jason

well this kinda applies, I am putting a 3.0 in my 95 it just takes using the parts off of the 95 like ecu, iac and so on. some of the connectors are different, also you might have a problem with the secondaries, but I am unsure since mine are gutted. I also had to splice in the fuel injector connector harness for my 24# injectors as you will for the 19# ones. But you cant run the svt computer, it would be best to go with a custom burn. I think I covered almost everything in a broad sense.

Terry Haines helped someone with this same question a year or so ago. The thread indicated that Terry talked directly with the person that posted the question. There was too much to cover with a post. Yes, it is doable, and the problems are somewhat minor.
Some of the things you will run into include vacuum operated secondaries on the 95, rear oxygen sensors not needed on the 95, traction control not compatable with the SVT throttle body, you may have some problem with the differences in the fuel rail and injectors.

98?? the main problem is the eec_IV tuning and the vac secondaries, only used in 95 anythign 96 and up v6 should be what I think you meant

That is the wrong conception that most people seems to have. You can run the SVT PCM very well. All you need is to run the SVT wiring harnesses. Someone swapped a '96 instrument cluster in a '95 with cable driven speedo, that means the connectors are the same, no worry there. I was going to use the SVT PCM instead, but decided not to because I didn't want to pay the money (however many arms it might cost) to reprogram the PCM for a set of new keys. I actually had everything I needed to use the SVT PCM if I wanted to, but in the end decided to use the '95 PCM because I plan on getting something like TwEECer anyway.
