I just bought A6 sidemarkers in the CEG modifications section from a local (CT) VW dealership.

reflector (4B0-949-127) $8.30 x 2
socket (161-949-111) $2.89 x 2
bulb (N-017-753-4) $2.10 x 2

+ $1.59 tax = total of $28.13

I paid about $30 as well. You cna skip the light bulbs, though and get them at an auto parts store. Standard #194 and you cna pick other colors too.

I have the A6 and liked them, but would investigate the possibility of using the clear VW ones instead.

I believe the Audi and VW parts are identical (they look identical in the pics and have same part #'s). Am I correct?

I hope they threw in a free jar of KY
I paid around $30.00 for the housing and sockets. I bought the bulbs from Car Boutique.

Maybe the newer Audi and VW's are the same. I had the opaque lenses that were on the late 90's Audi's.
