So how good a idea is it to supercharge a CSVT? Has anyone sc'ed a contour without major problems or is it just not wise or practical?

Get a dyno to tune and make sure no pinging exists... Fairly reliable. NA will last ya longer, but when this on goes, there is a 3L waiting.

The kit originally had some problems with reliability but by all accounts that has been fixed so it is a good reliable power adder. A 3L swap will run you about the same cost wise overall but won't add the same amount of power, but should last longer (relatively speaking). The turbo kit is out there too producing great results, but also cost is an issue as it's higher than the S/C or basic 3L swap.
