I bought my kit from some guy with a 98E0 as well. Vortech told him that you need some frikkin special tool or something to swap it out. That was total BS. He (I guess not being too car savvy) took it to a SuperChips dealer and they removed it. I got it and popped it in. It could not have been easier. I know that there is a bit of board manipulation that you need to do with the later (99-00) models, but it ain't all that hard. They should ask you your code (PCM) and burn it there. They should even be able to email the code to a local SC dealer and they could burn it as you wait! StreetFlight should have a chip out soon, for you. I know because I am the test mule. info@streetflight.com and they can let you know where when and how much. You want to be aware of what box code you have and whether you have a return or returnless fuel system. If you have the return system you may be in luck. That is what we tested the chip with.
