OP WVContourSVT CEG\'er W Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 68 Martinsburg, WV	i posted a while back about an axle problem i had. it appears that the axle just came out of the transmission. well we got it back together and when i make a left hand turn the car makes a pop or knock noise. my dad says it sounds like a velocity joint or something like that. does anyone have any experiences or suggestions for this problem 1998 SVT Custom front fascia and hood 17" Enkei RS5 w/Dunlop 215/45/17 20% tint Eibach springs OH YEAH and the ever so wonderful Regular 2.5L

1998contourV6 CEG\'er 1 Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 97 Omaha, NE	if your Constant Velocity(CV) joint just came out all the sudden something has to be wrong with it you should probably the replace that whole drive axle on that side. OP WVContourSVT CEG\'er W Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 68 Martinsburg, WV	ok here r the 2 possibilities i have. when the axle fell out the first time apparently i lost a good bit of fluid in which i never refilled in my tranny. ok now my dad thinks there may be a bearing in the tranny that is bad but why would it only make the noise when turning to the left. would it not make the noise when going either way. and of course the other reason is that i have a bad cv joint. anyone have any situations like this 1998 SVT Custom front fascia and hood 17" Enkei RS5 w/Dunlop 215/45/17 20% tint Eibach springs OH YEAH and the ever so wonderful Regular 2.5L

IT got worse and started pulling the car to the right every couple seconds. I Got it fixed for $205.00 the cv shaft plus labor.

OP WVContourSVT CEG\'er W Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 68 Martinsburg, WV	ok now i have done what most of u guys have suggested. i replace the hole drivers side axle with both cv joints. it did not work. is there something in the tranny that would cause this to happen when only making a left hand turn. also my abs light came on and i have no idea why. could something with this be causing it. 1998 SVT Custom front fascia and hood 17" Enkei RS5 w/Dunlop 215/45/17 20% tint Eibach springs OH YEAH and the ever so wonderful Regular 2.5L
