Sho Aluminized Y W/ Cat owner

Had it installed since Nov. 2001,

No complaints and fast shipping. Had to have mine professionally installed and welded in place for $100, Factory decided to run a stripped nut all the way up on one of the manifolds bolts.........

Cheap power. I think on Warmongers 3L page it shows a pic of the 2 2" pipes crused into one 2" flange. That and the SHO unit weighs a minimum of 20lbs less.

I would bet that a properly modified stock Y-pipe would easily outperform this "equal" length unit and it definitely would do it with a lot less heat transferred to the oil pan, engine bay, p/s lines, and underbody.

They claim a modest power gain over the stock Y-pipe. Well I should hope so. Even a flawed design such as this should be better than poorly crushing two 2" pipes together into one 2" flange. Thus effectively making each pipe under 1"!!!

Your best option for a Y-pipe is modifying the stock unit. Followed by a SHO/BAT unit with a chip or MSDS unit.

The gains that performance fords are claiming is with an aftermarker ypipe on.

Had my sho ORY for close to 2 years now, what performance or quality issues are you talking about? The sho y is a strong contendar as the best perfomance mod I've done to my car thus far and I've done A LOT. I have the aluminum one, nice fit, no leaks, great performance. I'm dumbfounded , the only thing I've notice is that it takes a lot longer to get one now than once before.

Yeah I've had the Sho-Shop Y-pipe with nice performance (2yrs).
I did however have it Ceramic coated and liked it every bit. No problems with it.
