Does anyone know how to replace the passenger side mirror. My power mirrors stopped working and I did what any idiot would do; I tried to move the glass myself. Needless to say, I cracked the mirror. Does anyone know how to remove the housing so that I can have the glass replaced? Also, my fuse is fine but the power mirrors do not work. Could it just be the switch? Thanks alot

from what I can remember, that actual mirror glass is snapped onto the motor, so it should be removable just by popping it off. I might be wrong so someone plz correct me if I'm wrong before you go pulling on it. If the mirror doesn't move it could be the motor is bad. Does the motor in that particular mirror make any noise when you try to adjust it? Sometimes my passenger mirror will stick when I try to move it, but I can hear the motor trying to work. Usually this only happens when it's extremely cold though, like now. After a few attempts, it breaks free and moves about like normal.

it should pop off. most mirrors do that. about the cracked glass, take it to the junkyard and theyll put a substitute right over the old cracked one for pennies. well, pennies compared to the ~100 youd have to pay for ur heated power mirror (at least thats the quote that i got for the driverside mirror in my tour).

The motor doesn't make any noise but this occurs with both mirrors. I did only notice this as it got really cold outside but I have no results when I try adjusting it multiple times. Can both motors go bad at exactly the same time? How would I go about testing the system?

If you have a multimeter you could test to make sure you are getting power to the mirror. Sounds like a fuse to me. but I looked it up at: http://www.qualitycareservice.com/default.asp?page=E4
and I couldn't find a fuse or relay for them.

May be printed on the cover to the fuse panel and the PDB in the enigne comparment. You will need to make sure there is not more than one fuse or relay. Probably blew something because the motors were overheated when the mirrors were frozen.

If not the case, you can test the wires on both mirrors to make sure you are getting power. You could also test it at the switch to make sure you are getting power there.

Hope it helps.

There's a fuse for the heated mirrors and that's fine but I don't know about a relay. I will run the tests though as some time this week. thanks
